The Vimantal Traffic Division Team in Pune has earned praise for their exceptional efforts in assisting hundreds of stranded Punekars following intense pre-monsoon rainfall that lashed the city on Friday.

The heavy rain, which lasted for about an hour, brought relief from the scorching heat but also led to waterlogging in several parts of Pune, including the Swargate bus depot. Lohegaon witnessed the highest rainfall recorded at 58mm during the downpour.

In response to the adverse conditions, the Vimantal Traffic Division Team stepped up and went above and beyond their line of duty to help alleviate the situation. Despite facing challenges themselves, the team worked tirelessly to clear waterlogged roads and facilitate the movement of stranded individuals.

Their efforts proved invaluable as they assisted commuters in navigating through the waterlogged streets, ensuring their safety and well-being. Additionally, their prompt response helped prevent further disruptions in transportation services.

The heavy rainfall also impacted air travel, with at least 13 flights delayed and one flight diverted to Mumbai from the Pune airport due to the adverse weather conditions.

Amidst the challenging circumstances, the Vimantal Traffic Division Team’s dedication and commitment to serving the community stand as a testament to their professionalism and selflessness. Their unwavering efforts deserve recognition and commendation, as they embody the spirit of public service and demonstrate the importance of community support during times of need.
