Virat Kohli & Anushka Sharma planning to relocate to UK?

Recent reports suggest that Indian cricket star Virat Kohli and his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, are contemplating a move to the United Kingdom following the birth of their second child, Akaay Kohli. Anushka gave birth to their son in London in February 2024, and while Virat has returned to India, Anushka remains in the UK with their children, Vamika and Akaay.

Virat Kohli’s presence in India after the birth of Akaay marked his first appearance in the country since the arrival of their newborn. He is expected to join the Royal Challengers Bangalore training camp for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League, which commences on March 22, 2024. 

However, speculation among Redditors persists regarding the family’s potential relocation to the UK, considering Anushka’s prolonged stay abroad and the birth of their son there.

A Reddit post raised questions about the possibility of Virat and Anushka gradually transitioning to the UK after the birth of their children, given Anushka’s last sighting in India in December 2023 and the subsequent birth of their son in the UK. 

As soon as the post was shared, netizens flooded the comments section and expressed their point of view. 

One of the users wrote, “Virat is back for IPL..but yes, they could shift to the UK.. once Virat is done with cricket.” 

Another one commented, “Yes, because a) if you have money, life in uk is very peaceful b) citizenship is easily available you have to invest some amount c) privacy for vamika n akaay which they want d) Anushka in her initial interviews had always said that she does want to be a housewife be there for her children.”

While these speculations swirl, Virat continues to prioritize his role as a father, evident in his recent airport appearance. Sporting a stylish T-shirt with the word ‘Daddy’ emblazoned on it, Virat showcased his affection for his children, Vamika and Akaay, capturing the hearts of many.

Despite rumours of a potential relocation, Virat Kohli has garnered attention for his makeover ahead of IPL 2024.
