Overgrown trees on Pink City road’s footpath were an obstruction for the pedestrians walking on the footpath in Wakad. When Pune Pulse raised this issue with the Local corporator Sandeep Kaspate on Monday August 16, 2021, he assured that it will be removed.

A local resident complained, “These overgrown trees were posing a threat to pedestrians who often found it difficult to walk on the footpath in the evening. PCMC should regularly trim them and control the growth.”

On August 17, 2021 the trees were trimmed by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation staff. The pedestrian way is free from such overgrown branches, Kaspate added. He thanked Pune Pulse for highlighting the issue.
