Ward 41 Needs Action, Not Promises: Swati Ananta Takale Sets Clear Development Agenda
Swati Ananta Takale, Pune district chief of the Shiv Sena Women’s Wing and former Zilla Parishad member, has reiterated her resolve to ensure holistic and result-oriented development in Pune Municipal Corporation’s Ward No. 41, comprising Mohamadwadi and Undri. Stressing that governance must translate into visible outcomes, Takle said inclusive growth and responsive administration remain central to her public service vision.
A long-time resident of Ward 41, Takale said her years of close association with the area have given her a deep understanding of the everyday challenges faced by residents across neighbourhoods, societies and informal settlements. From basic civic amenities to safety and infrastructure gaps, she noted that the concerns of citizens can only be addressed effectively through consistent on-ground engagement. As a committed leader of the Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction), she said her work has always reflected the party’s people-first and development-focused ideology.

Describing the ward as socially, economically and geographically diverse, Takale highlighted her experience as a Zilla Parishad member, during which she worked extensively on water supply projects, road development, healthcare access, education, and initiatives related to women and child welfare in both urban and semi-rural areas. These experiences, she said, strengthened her understanding of policy execution at the grassroots level.

Takale also pointed to her tenure as a government-appointed corporator in the Pune Municipal Corporation, which provided her with hands-on exposure to municipal administration, budget planning, coordination among departments and effective implementation of civic resolutions. This, she said, has enabled her to act as a strong link between citizens and the administration.

Reaffirming her priorities, Takale said addressing grievances promptly, ensuring follow-up and implementing sustainable, long-term solutions will remain her focus. Her vision for Ward 41 includes improved cleanliness, public safety, stronger infrastructure, women’s empowerment, opportunities for youth and dignified facilities for senior citizens. With public trust, administrative experience and a clear roadmap, she said she is committed to transforming Ward 41 into a resilient, prosperous and model constituency.
