Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, the revered spiritual guru and founder of the Isha Foundation, recently underwent an emergency brain surgery at Apollo Hospital in Delhi due to life-threatening swelling and bleeding in his brain. The surgery took place on March 17, following a period of severe headaches endured by Sadhguru over the past four weeks.

Despite experiencing intense pain, Sadhguru continued with his normal activities and even conducted the Maha Shivaratri function on March 8. However, his condition worsened on March 15, prompting him to consult Dr. Vinit Suri, a senior consultant neurologist at Apollo Hospitals, over the phone. Upon examination, it was evident that Sadhguru required urgent medical attention, and an MRI revealed massive bleeding in his brain, both chronic and recent.

Despite the urgency conveyed by medical professionals, Sadhguru fulfilled his commitments until March 17 when his condition deteriorated further, leading to a decline in consciousness and weakness in his left leg. Consequently, he was rushed to the hospital, where it was determined that immediate surgery was necessary due to life-threatening swelling and bleeding in his brain.

Fortunately, the surgery was successful, and Sadhguru has since been taken off the ventilator.

In a video released on Isha Foundation social media channel, Sadhguru can be seen in a partially conscious state explaining his health condition.

Dr. Suri, in a video released on the Isha Foundation’s social media channel, expressed gratitude for Sadhguru’s remarkable recovery, noting that he is now back to his normal self and making steady progress in his healing journey.
