Maharashtra| December 16:
Weather conditions across Maharashtra continue to remain unstable, with noticeable fluctuations in temperature being recorded in several regions. While the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has not issued a cold wave alert for any district on December 17, the overall chill is expected to persist, especially during early morning and night hours.

According to the latest IMD update, Mumbai has witnessed a slight rise in minimum temperatures, offering temporary relief from the cold. The minimum temperature in Mumbai is expected to hover around 19°C, while the maximum may reach 34°C. Similar conditions are likely across the Konkan region, though weather changes cannot be ruled out in the coming days.

In Pune and Western Maharashtra, cold conditions remain intense despite the absence of a cold wave warning. Pune recorded a minimum temperature of 9°C, while Kolhapur is expected to see minimum temperatures around 16°C on December 17.

North Maharashtra, which had earlier experienced severe cold with temperatures dropping as low as 7°C, is likely to see a slight improvement. Nashik’s minimum temperature is expected to settle at around 11°C, providing marginal relief to residents.

In Marathwada, including Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, the weather will remain dry with clear skies. However, cold conditions will persist, with minimum temperatures expected to remain near 11°C.

Meanwhile, Vidarbha is once again witnessing a rise in cold intensity. Nagpur and surrounding areas have reported a drop in temperatures, with Nagpur’s minimum temperature expected to be around 9°C on December 17.

Overall Outlook:
While the absence of a cold wave alert comes as a relief for Maharashtra residents, mild cold conditions are set to continue due to relatively low minimum temperatures. Citizens are advised to remain cautious during early morning and late-night hours as the winter chill persists.
