The cold wave has intensified in the Marathwada and Vidarbha regions as well. Let’s take a look at the weather forecast for November 9 across major cities and regions of the state.

Maharashtra Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a fresh weather alert as several parts of Maharashtra brace for a significant drop in temperature. The cold wave conditions are gradually spreading across northern and central regions, particularly affecting Marathwada and Vidarbha.

After continuous rainfall during the first week of November, winter has officially set in across the state. In North Maharashtra, bone-chilling cold conditions are being reported, while Marathwada and Vidarbha are also witnessing a sharp fall in mercury levels.

In Mumbai and its suburbs, the sky is likely to remain mostly clear. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 32°C, and the minimum may stay near 22°C. Compared to other parts of the state, Mumbai and the Konkan belt continue to experience milder winter conditions.

Western Maharashtra, including Pune and Kolhapur, is now feeling the onset of winter. Pune’s minimum temperature has dropped to 16°C, while Kolhapur recorded around 19°C. Meanwhile, rainfall has completely withdrawn from all regions of the state.

Due to snowfall in North India, northern districts of Maharashtra are experiencing a noticeable chill. Jalgaon may see temperatures dipping as low as 10°C, while Nashik could record a minimum of 12°C in the coming days.

In Marathwada, cities such as Jalna, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), and Parbhani are seeing temperatures between 13°C and 15°C. Similarly, Nanded, Dharashiv (Osmanabad), Latur, Hingoli, and Beed are also reporting clear skies and mild cold in the same range. The IMD predicts that the chill will intensify over the next few days in these districts.

In Vidarbha, a similar temperature drop is being observed. Amravati recorded a minimum of 13°C, while Nagpur saw temperatures around 15°C.

Experts predict that the cold wave will continue across the state, with Nashik, Marathwada, and Vidarbha likely to remain the coldest regions. Western Maharashtra will experience moderate cold, while the Konkan coast will continue to see comparatively warmer conditions.
