Pune/Mumbai | December 14: Maharashtra is witnessing a noticeable shift in weather conditions as the intensity of cold winds from northern India has weakened. After experiencing a cold wave last week, the state is now seeing relatively stable but cool weather, with mild changes recorded on Sunday.

According to the latest weather update, the cold wave has subsided, though chilly conditions persist across several regions. No fresh cold wave alert has been issued, but a general advisory remains in place for Mumbai, Pune and surrounding areas due to fluctuating temperatures.

Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai:
Residents of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region experienced a mild chill during the early morning hours on Sunday. Temperatures are expected to remain largely similar to Saturday, with minimum temperatures ranging between 18°C and 20°C, while maximum temperatures may hover around 30°C to 31°C.
The afternoon is likely to feel warm, followed by a slight drop in temperatures after sunset. Due to low humidity, discomfort levels are expected to remain minimal. Weather conditions are forecast to stay stable over the next two days.

Pune and Surrounding Areas:
Pune continues to experience moderate winter conditions. Morning temperatures showed little variation compared to Saturday, with minimum temperatures between 11°C and 13°C. Daytime temperatures are likely to rise to 29°C–30°C.
While mornings remain cool, afternoons will feel warmer. Slightly cooler conditions may prevail in ghat regions, though there is no indication of severe cold or cold wave-like situations.

Ahilyanagar and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
These regions recorded mild cold conditions in the morning, with temperatures marginally higher than the previous day. Minimum temperatures are expected between 11°C and 13°C, while maximum temperatures may range from 28°C to 30°C. Rural areas may experience a sharper morning chill, but daytime weather will remain pleasant.

Statewide Outlook:
The Meteorological Department has clarified that no district in Maharashtra is currently under a cold wave alert. Weather across Mumbai, Pune and most parts of the state is expected to remain dry and stable over the coming days.
However, due to ongoing weather fluctuations, citizens are advised to take necessary health precautions, especially during early mornings and late evenings.
