Weather Update: IMD Warns Of Thunderstorms, Lightning, and Gusty Winds in Pune And Neighboring Districts

Monsoon to Return in Maharashtra: IMD Issues Yellow Alert, Pune to See Rainfall from Sept 23
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for Pune and several neighboring districts, predicting thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and moderate rainfall. According to the IMD, gusty winds with speeds reaching 40-50 km/h are likely to affect isolated areas in Pune, Ahmednagar, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Jalna, Parbhani, Hingoli, and Nanded over the next 3-4 hours. The department has urged residents to exercise caution, especially when venturing outdoors during this period.

In addition to Pune, the IMD has also alerted the district of Satara to expect similar weather conditions, with gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40 km/h. Light rainfall is anticipated in isolated parts of Raigad, Thane, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Nashik, Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalgaon, and Beed within the next few hours. The weather department has advised the public to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to avoid any potential hazards.
