Maharashtra Records First 40°C Temperature of 2025 in Mid-February
Pune: Temperatures are steadily rising across Western Maharashtra, with further increases of 3-4°C expected in the coming days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). While Mumbai has recorded temperatures crossing 36°C, some regions in Vidarbha have seen a slight dip. However, cities like Pune, Solapur, Kolhapur, Sangli, and Satara continue to experience rising temperatures.
City-Wise Weather Forecast (February 8):
Pune: The maximum temperature is expected to reach 33°C, with a minimum of 16°C. The sky will remain clear, but IMD predicts a further rise in nighttime temperatures in the coming days.
Solapur: The mercury will remain high, with temperatures ranging between 22°C (min) and 34°C (max). Partly cloudy skies are expected. IMD warns of a further temperature rise up to 37°C, urging residents to take precautions.
Kolhapur: The heat persists, with the maximum temperature at 34°C and the minimum at 19°C. This trend is likely to continue, followed by a further temperature increase in the coming days. The sky will remain clear today.
Sangli: The maximum temperature is forecasted at 34°C, with a minimum of 19°C. Farmers are advised to avoid working outdoors during peak afternoon hours and take necessary precautions to protect crops from the heat. The sky will remain clear.
Satara: Partly cloudy skies are expected today, with temperatures hovering at 33°C (max) and 18°C (min).
With rising temperatures across Western Maharashtra, IMD has urged citizens to take necessary precautions, stay hydrated, and avoid prolonged exposure to heat.
