On February 6, a woman passenger was injured when an unidentified person threw a burning mobile phone from the window of the Astha special train from Pune to Ayodhya for the darshan of Lord Ram.

This incident has created chaos among the railway passengers. This incident took place between Chinchwad to Dehu Road railway stations. After the Astha special train reached Panvel railway station, the railway police helped and seized the burning mobile phone and other belongings.

Astha special train left from Pune for Ayodhya. While the train was leaving Chinchwad station at 7:25 pm, between 7:52 pm and 7:59 pm, someone threw a burning object which turned out to be a mobile phone. The burning mobile hit Chhaya Haribhau Kashid, a passenger on Astha special train, injuring her.

Due to this, when the train arrived at Panvel station at 10:22 pm, the railway police carried out immediate rescue operations and seized the burning mobile phone and other suspicious items. At this time, Panvel Railway Police and Panvel City Police had kept tight security when the train reached Panvel station. Regarding this incident, the police has taken the statement of the injured female passenger and others and has registered a case with Pune Railway Police.
