Pune : Traffic diversion announced as Sadhu Vaswani Bridge under goes reconstruction 

On Tuesday, 7 February, 2024 the Pune Traffic Police, released a statement saying that as the Sadhu Vaswani Bridge under Bund Garden, Koregaon park traffic department has become unsafe, it will be demolished and reconstructed by the Pune Municipal Corporation. 

According to the statement released, below are the diversion announced by the Pune Traffic Police.

-One-way traffic for Light vehicles will continue from Sadhu Vaswani Bridge between Mor Odha Chowk and Blu Diamond Hotel Chowk.

-One-way route will be in operation at General Arun Kumar road between I.B. road and Circuit house chowk.

.To reach from Mor Odha road to I.B. road, take a right turn at Mor Odha road, straight in front of southern command at Council Hall Chowk.

. For Buses (PMPML and other buses), go straight at Mor Odha Chowk, take a left turn at Kahun road Signal, then take a right turn at Tarapore Road Junction, take a right turn at Blue Nile and go straight at Mangaldas Chowk.

– Entry to Sadhu Vaswani Bridge from Blu Diamond Square will remain closed.

.Blu Diamond Chowk to Moboj Chowk will be made one way.

. Alternate route: From Moboj road, take left to Mangaldas Chowk, then turn left to I.B. Chowk, and then left at I.B. House.

Access to Blu Diamond Hotel Chowk to Moboj Chowk via Mangaldas Road will remain closed.

Alternate route: From Moboj Chowk, proceed to Bund Garden Road to Shriman Hotel Chowk, take a right turn from Shriman Hotel Lane from Koregaon Park Junction.

-One-way road will be doubled as required from I.B. Junction to Circuit House Chowk.

The diversion was announced by the Deputy Commissioner Of Police, Pune City Traffic Branch, Shashikant Borate and will be implemented from Saturday, 10th February, 2024 with the aim to ease traffic.
