he renowned production house, Directors Kut Production, helmed by Rajan Shahi, has taken a decisive step by terminating actors Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe from the cast of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) due to their reported unprofessional conduct. Shehzada, portraying the character of Armaan, and Pratiksha, essaying the role of Roohi, faced dismissal following a series of incidents highlighting their disregard for professionalism and work ethics.
Reports suggest that Shehzada’s behaviour exhibited consistent tantrums and mistreatment towards the crew, disrupting the harmonious work environment crucial to the production house’s ethos. Despite attempts to rectify the situation, his conduct persisted, prompting the production house to take decisive action. Pratiksha, a newcomer groomed by the production house, reportedly failed to meet character requirements and expectations.
Directors Kut Production, known for maintaining a positive work culture, released an official statement confirming the termination of both actors. In response, the production house has initiated casting for replacements, signalling a fresh start for the characters of Armaan and Roohi. The new actors stepping into these roles are Rohit Purohit and Garvita Sadhwani, respectively.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, a long-running television series that first aired in January 2009, has witnessed numerous cast changes over its 15-year run. Despite the alterations in the ensemble, the show continues to garner significant audience interest, prompting its producers to maintain its continuity while ensuring the integrity of its storytelling.
