Young Motorcyclist Loses Life As Dumper Collides With Two Wheeler On Pune Nagar road in Wagholi

A young man riding a motorcycle lost his life after being struck by a dumper. This tragic event took place around 6:30 AM on the Pune-Nagar highway in Wagholi, right in front of Reliance Mart. Following the accident, the dumper fled the scene, leading to public outrage as citizens demand to know how many more lives must be lost before the police take decisive action.

The victim has been identified as Chaitanya Umesh Shinde, a 23-year-old resident of Supreme Angan Society, Wagholi. Police reports indicate that Chaitanya was on his way to work at the Concentrix company in Kharadi when the dumper hit him. He suffered severe injuries from being run over by the rear wheel. A young witness to the incident quickly called the police at 112, who then notified Chaitanya’s parents. After they arrived, he was transported to Sassoon Hospital by ambulance, where he was sadly pronounced dead. It has been reported that the truck involved in the accident was from Hadapsar. Chaitanya had recently completed his BCA and had just started his job a few months ago.

His father is employed at a private company, and he has a younger brother who is 15 years old. Chaitanya was an active and friendly member of the Vishwadeep Youth Association. Following the news of his passing, there was a great deal of grief expressed, with many people from the community rushing to Sassoon Hospital to offer their support.

The family has decided not to take custody of the body until the police arrest the truck driver responsible for the accident. Even after the post-mortem examination, they did not claim the body until around two in the afternoon. When attempts were made to contact Assistant Police Inspector Yogesh Khate regarding the situation, he did not answer the phone.
