Bengaluru is often recognized as a hub for tech professionals, but its auto drivers are just as remarkable. They consistently demonstrate impressive creativity that distinguishes them. For instance, one driver uses his smartwatch to show a QR code for payments instead of accepting cash. Recently, another driver has made waves by replacing his driver’s seat with an office chair for added comfort.

A photo posted by X user Shivani Matlapudi captures the driver casually sitting on a swivel office chair, providing both comfort and ergonomic support while he drives. “Auto driver’s seat had an office chair fixed for extra comfort, man I love Bangalore,” Matlapudi commented as she shared the image on X, where it has been gaining popularity.

The image of the auto driver’s vehicle upgrade has certainly caught the attention of X users. Many expressed their admiration, with one person calling it the “Beauty of Bangalore.” Another user humorously remarked, “Auto driver simulation game went too far this time.” Given that office chairs are made for long periods of sitting, some users appreciated the choice, with one comment stating, “At least he cares for his posture.”

Others chimed in with laughter, saying, “Hahah back-health care max,” and another added, “Back problems are real.” Even David Hoang, the VP – Head of Design, AI at Atlassian, was impressed and mentioned, “I’m going to Bangalore soon and can’t wait to experience it!”

However, not everyone was on board with the innovation. Some raised concerns about safety, noting that such modifications might violate sections of the Motor Vehicles Act. One user, who has experience in the design department of a German truck manufacturing organization, warned, “That’s probably violating some section of the Motor Vehicles act. Every part needs to be certified, especially those concerning safety.”
