Youth Dies in Jim Corbett National Park Due to Tiger Attack

A tiger attacked a Nepali worker in a national park. In fact, the Dhikala zone of Corbett National Park was opened for tourists from November 15. The park administration was busy preparing for it.

As per further information, Shiva, a worker at the national park & a native of Nepal, was cutting trees along with 10 family members in the presence of department staff. Suddenly, the tiger attacked Shiva. Hearing Shiva’s screams, the family and department staff rushed to save him. But it didn’t help.

Hearing the roar of the tiger, the people screamed. The personnel present at the spot fired two to three rounds in the air to drive away the tiger. The tiger fled into the forest leaving Shiva in a pool of blood. The family and departmental staff rushed Shiva to the Ramnagar Government Hospital, but doctors there declared him as dead.

Earlier, a tiger had attacked an old woman in Surai Forest area of​​Khatima. This woman had gone to the forest to collect grass. The tiger then attacked and killed him.
