Zomato delivers non-veg thali instead of veg thali to a pregnant customer; company reacts
The convenience of food delivery apps comes with its own set of challenges, as highlighted by a recent incident shared by Bengaluru resident Shobhit Siddharth. Siddharth took to social media on Saturday to express his dismay after receiving a chicken thali instead of the paneer thali he had ordered for his pregnant wife through Zomato.
The resolution promised has not been fulfilled yet, and neither I have received the promised email, so no, you have not done anything so far.

In his post, Siddharth emphasized the seriousness of the situation, questioning how a vegetarian could be expected to consume chicken, especially when it concerns a pregnant woman.
His post quickly gained traction, prompting a response from Zomato Care, which acknowledged the mix-up and assured Siddharth of a thorough investigation.
We make amends for this mix-up and understand how distressing it must've been for you. We take your dietary preferences very seriously and would never intend to disrespect them. Please allow us some time to get this checked and we will get back to you via call or email.

In a subsequent follow-up, Zomato assured Siddharth of addressing the issue promptly. However, Siddharth expressed disappointment, stating that the promised resolution had not been fulfilled yet.
The restaurant involved also responded to the incident, expressing regret for the inconvenience caused and promising to resolve the issue promptly.
This incident is not an isolated one, as evidenced by a previous case where a Pune resident found a chicken piece in his paneer biryani ordered through Zomato. Such incidents highlight the importance of ensuring accuracy in food orders, especially considering dietary preferences and restrictions.
