Raj Thackeray Unveils MNS Manifesto, Highlights Vision With Action Plan
Mumbai, November 15, 2024 – Ahead of the November 20 state Assembly elections, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray released the party’s manifesto titled We Will Deliver, emphasizing not just promises but actionable plans to fulfill them if elected.
Speaking at the release event, Thackeray criticized other parties for focusing solely on pledges without detailing execution strategies. Alongside the manifesto, he unveiled a booklet outlining the MNS’s achievements since its inception in 2006, asserting continuity in addressing Maharashtra’s core issues over nearly two decades.
The manifesto details a four-phase approach:
- Basic Needs and Security: Addressing essentials like food, water, women’s safety, law and order, education, childcare, and jobs.
- Infrastructure Development: Focusing on communication, water management, sanitation, environmental preservation, and urban planning.
- Economic Growth: Introducing policies for industrial growth, agriculture, trade, tourism, and vocational education.
- Cultural Identity: Promoting Marathi language, heritage conservation, and traditional sports.
Thackeray critiqued Maharashtra’s current political climate, citing instability due to party defections and alliances. He stressed the importance of voters recognizing candidates’ integrity and loyalty.
Addressing employment, he reiterated the MNS’s stance on prioritizing opportunities for local youth over ‘outsiders’ and demanded Maharashtra’s precedence in global investments.
Taking a veiled jab at cousin Uddhav Thackeray, he called for investing in educational institutions instead of symbolic infrastructure like temples. The MNS is contesting 128 seats, aiming for a significant electoral impact.
