Mumbai, February 7, 2026: The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has announced temporary traffic blocks on the Samruddhi Highway for nine days as part of ongoing Highway Traffic Management System work. Vehicle operators and travelers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly.

Key Details:

  • Dates & Location: February 9–18, 2026, on the Balhudhna–Lonar, Deulgaon Raja, and Sindkhed Raja stretch in Jalna district, between 300.4 km and 365.8 km.
  • Purpose: Installation of gantries under the Samruddhi Highway Traffic Management System to monitor speed, enforce rules, report accidents, and ensure quicker emergency responses.
  • Traffic Blocks:
    • The work will be carried out in 10 stages, with each stage requiring a temporary closure of one side of the highway.
    • Traffic in either direction (towards Mumbai or Nagpur) will be completely stopped for 50–60 minutes at a time.
    • Once the work for each stage is completed, traffic flow will resume.
  • Overall Project: Gantry installation is planned in 21 stages along the highway.
  • Advice to Travelers:
    • Plan journeys considering possible delays.
    • Use alternate routes where possible.
    • Follow instructions from highway authorities and traffic personnel for safety.
