Ladki Bahin Yojana: Govt Allows Final Deadline For E-KYC Corrections Till March 31, 2026
Maharashtra Ladki Bahin Yojana: April 30 Deadline For e-KYC; ₹1,500 Aid May Stop For 26 Lakh Beneficiaries
Mumbai, February 7, 2026: The Maharashtra government has announced a final opportunity for beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana to correct errors in their e-KYC details after technical issues prevented the transfer of funds to their bank accounts.
Women who had submitted applications and completed the e-KYC process but have not yet received financial assistance due to technical discrepancies can now update their details until March 31, 2026, officials said.
Why were payments delayed?
According to the Women and Child Development Department, benefits were held up due to multiple e-KYC-related issues, including:
- Mismatch between the applicant’s name and Aadhaar records
- Aadhaar not linked with the bank account
- Biometric authentication failures
Officials clarified that Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) payments cannot be processed unless these discrepancies are resolved.
Final deadline for corrections
To ensure eligible women are not deprived of benefits, the state government has reopened the correction window on the official portal.
Beneficiaries can:
- Visit their nearest Common Service Centre (CSC), or
- Log in to the official scheme portal to verify and update their e-KYC details
The last date to complete corrections is March 31, 2026, and no further extension is expected.
Government’s stand
The department stated that its objective is to ensure every eligible beneficiary receives the scheme’s benefits without interruption. The deadline extension has been granted solely to address technical lapses and prevent exclusion of deserving applicants.
What beneficiaries should check
- Aadhaar–Bank Linkage: Ensure Aadhaar is seeded with the active bank account
- Registered Mobile Number: Keep the Aadhaar-linked mobile number active to receive OTPs
- Application Status: Regularly check the application status on the official portal
Officials have urged beneficiaries to complete the correction process well before the deadline to avoid delays in future instalments.
