Thane, February 7, 2026: In view of the upcoming Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations, the Thane City Traffic Police have introduced a special assistance facility to ensure that students reach their examination centres on time.

To help students who may face delays due to traffic congestion, vehicle breakdowns, or other road-related issues on exam days, the traffic police have deployed a dedicated support system. As part of this initiative, 54 traffic riders have been stationed across the city to provide immediate assistance.

Students encountering any difficulty while travelling to their exam centres can contact the traffic police through the Traffic Control helpline numbers or the WhatsApp control number. Helpline numbers have also been issued for all 18 traffic units in the city. Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Police, Pankaj Shirsat, has appealed to students and parents to reach out to the helpline if they face any problems on the road while heading for examinations.

The Maharashtra State Board Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) examinations will begin on February 10 and February 20 respectively. Under the Thane Police Commissionerate, there are 223 examination centres for Class 10 students and 126 centres for Class 12 students across police zones 1 to 5.

For assistance, students and parents can contact the Traffic Control helpline numbers 8286300300 and 8286400400, or send a message on the Traffic Control WhatsApp number 7039003866. Helpline numbers are also available at all 18 traffic units.
