Actress Vishakha Subhedar Appeals To PM Modi, CM Fadnavis As Son Stuck In Kuwait Amid Conflict
‘Hasya Jatra’ actor says son stranded for four days after flight diversion due to airspace shutdown
Marathi actress Vishakha Subhedar has made an emotional appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, seeking urgent help to bring her son back to India from Kuwait amid escalating tensions in the Gulf region.
In a video shared on social media, the ‘Hasya Jatra’ fame actor said her son, Abhinay Subhedar, has been stranded in Kuwait for the past four days after his flight was diverted due to the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran.
Flight Diverted Mid-Journey
According to Subhedar, her son had recently travelled to India and was returning to London for his studies. However, due to the developing war-like situation and airspace restrictions, the aircraft was forced to land in Kuwait. Since then, he has been unable to continue his journey as multiple flights have been cancelled.
“Namaskar, I am Vishakha Subhedar. I request Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and PM Narendra Modi… My son was travelling to London, but his flight was landed in Kuwait. For the past four days, he has been stuck there,” she said in the video.
She added that the situation in the region is becoming increasingly serious, with reports of drone attacks and rising tension.
Appeal For Evacuation
The actress stated that the airline has arranged hotel accommodation and that the Indian Embassy in Kuwait is assisting stranded passengers. However, she urged authorities to make arrangements for their safe return to India.
“As people were brought back from Dubai, similar arrangements should be made for those stuck in Kuwait,” she appealed, expressing concern for the many families anxiously waiting for their loved ones.
Subhedar said several Indian citizens remain stranded due to widespread flight cancellations and airspace disruptions across Gulf countries.
Her video has drawn attention on social media, with many users urging authorities to expedite evacuation efforts for Indians affected by the crisis.
