AMGM to celebrate 350 Years of Hindvi Swarajya at 350 forts on Republic Day 2024

Pune: The 350th year of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Hindvi Swarajya is being celebrated worldwide this year (2023-24).

To elevate the commemoration, the Akhil Maharashtra Giryarohan Mahasangha (AMGM) has decided to hoist the Indian tricolour and Bhagwa Dhwaj on 350 forts that are associated with Hindvi Swarajya. This endeavour has been scheduled for January 26, 2024, coinciding with India’s 75th Republic Day.

The annual general meeting of AMGM, with the support of Umesh Zirpe, President of AMGM, Hrishikesh Yadav, Executive President of AMGM, and Dr Rahul Warange, Secretary of AMGM, has finalized this initiative. To ensure the success of this initiative, all district bodies of AMGM, mountaineering clubs, and Shivpremi will actively participate. The forts will be divided into different zones, with zonal representatives leading the initiative in their respective areas.

Umesh Zirpe, the President of AMGM expressed, “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is an inspiration to all of us. He laid the foundation of India through the concept and implementation of Hindvi Swarajya in the 1600s. This year, we celebrate the 350th year of Hindvi Swarajya, which has garnered global recognition. AMGM aims to celebrate this milestone by integrating the concept of Swarajya with adventure activities, and climbing forts, which symbolize Hindvi Swarajya, is the perfect endeavour.”

He also mentioned that further details of this initiative will be shared soon. AMGM is renowned for fostering a culture of adventure while embracing India’s rich history. Additional information about this event will be disclosed around the first week of November.
