Ahead of the upcoming elections, various political parties have begun outlining their strategies and initiatives. In Pune, the Maharashtra Navnirman Vidyarthi Sena (MNVS), affiliated with the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), has launched several initiatives. Amit Thackeray, son of Raj Thackeray, has been actively engaging with the youth and students on the streets of Pune.

One notable initiative is the “Dhadak Morcha,” spearheaded by MNS leader Amit Thackeray in response to the demands put forth by students at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). Over the past few days, Amit Thackeray has been orchestrating various events in Pune City, with a primary focus on addressing the concerns of the youth.

Under his guidance, a delegation from the Maharashtra Navnirman Vidyarthi Sena submitted a memorandum to the university administration, with prominent figures like Bala Nandgaonkar and Sharmila Thackeray present during the occasion.

The memorandum highlights several pressing issues, including the immediate commencement of new hostel construction, provision of employment opportunities within academic institutions affiliated with the university, ensuring access to nutritious food for students, and addressing the concerns voiced by the Maharashtra Navnirman Vidyarthi Sena.

Furthermore, with student council elections looming on the horizon, there is a heightened emphasis on addressing the grievances raised by students. The representatives have made it clear that failure to address these demands within a specified timeframe will lead to significant agitation.

The demands encompass a wide range of issues, such as timely issuance of documents for students studying abroad or in other states, transitioning student convenience services to online platforms, improving the quality of food and overall hostel conditions, advocating for female representation in disciplinary committees, ensuring job security for graduates, establishing a dedicated placement department and portal, organizing job fairs, implementing strict regulations to tackle student unrest caused by harassment, bullying, and substance abuse, waiving fees for students affected by natural disasters, and facilitating the acquisition of necessary documents for students in Nashik and city sub-centers.
