According to reports, Dr. Priyadarshini’s father-in-law, J Narasimhaiah, filed a complaint with the Annapoorneshwari Nagar police. The 79-year-old man claims that his daughter-in-law attacked him and his wife at their residence in RHCS Layout, Annapoorneshwari Nagar. The police have registered a case based on the complaint.

Dr. Priyadarshini, accompanied by another woman, entered her in-laws’ home and began verbally abusing them. The verbal abuse then turned physical, with Dr. Priyadarshini allegedly assaulting her in-laws.

A video of the incident, which has circulated widely on social media, shows a disturbing scene. Dr. Priyadarshini can be seen shouting at the elderly couple, pulling her mother-in-law’s mangalsutra, and another woman kicking Narasimhaiah. The video also captures the sound of children crying in the background. The incident appears to be a result of ongoing marital discord between Dr. Priyadarshini and her husband, Naveen Kumar. The couple, who married in 2007 and have children, are currently in the process of getting a divorce. Naveen Kumar is living with his parents, while Dr. Priyadarshini is staying separately with their children.

The situation escalated when Dr. Priyadarshini allegedly attacked her in-laws. Narasimhaiah, who suffers from heart problems, attempted to intervene but was allegedly struck by Dr. Priyadarshini. His wife, who is also reportedly ill, was also involved in the altercation.

The police have taken action following the complaint against Dr. Priyadarshini. Additional Commissioner of Police (West) Vikash Kumar Vikash confirmed that a case has been registered against her under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). These sections include causing hurt (BNS 323), wrongful restraint (BNS 341), criminal intimidation (BNS 506), and intentional insult with intent to provoke a breach of peace (BNS 504). The police have issued a notice to Dr. Priyadarshini, summoning her for questioning. Further investigations are ongoing.
