 Nagpur’s chef, Vishnu Manohar, prepared a massive 7000 kg of ‘Ram Halwa’ on occasion of Shiv Jayanti on Monday in “HANUMAN GARHI AKHARS HANUMAT COLLEGE (PG) AYODHYA”

To achieve this culinary feat, Chef Vishnu Manohar crafted a unique cauldron with a 12,000-liter capacity, specially designed for the event within the Ram Mandir premises. The kadhai, weighing 1300 to 1400 kg and made of steel with an iron central part to prevent burning, boasts dimensions of 10 feet by 10 feet.

According to Chef Manohar, ”cooking with a kadhai requires a large spatula with holes and a crane for lifting.”

The colossal batch of halwa requires 900 kg of rava, 1000 kg of ghee, 1000 kg of sugar, 2000 litres of milk, 2500 litres of water, 300 kg of dry fruits, and 75 kg of cardamom powder. After being offered to Ram Lala, the prasad was distributed among approximately 1.5 lakh people. 

According to,Chef Vishnu Manohar named the initiative “Kar Seva to Pak Seva,” which emphasizes the emotional significance attached to the event.

Furthermore, this 7,000 kg ram halwa was prepared on the occassion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj birth anniversary on this day Raghavendra Deshpande of Kala Ram Mandir gave tribute to Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj along with them 50 members of Maa Tulaja Bhawani Kalsubai trek group also joined this auspicious day and performed Pooja of the idol.

Along with them Parikshit Thorat from Pune, and a team of 50 members from Nagpur, Vishnu Manohar Association from United States Of America and 4000 devotees had also were involved and received “Prasad on this auspicious occasion”.
