Chinchwad: With the Chinchwad Assembly Constituency by-poll elections just a day away, the Election Department is taking multiple initiatives to ensure a free, fearless, and transparent election. One of the initiatives taken by the department is the introduction of Model Polling Stations, aimed at setting new standards for transparent elections.
Model Polling Stations have been set up at various locations, including Babanrao Bhondve School in Ravet and Municipal Primary School in Wakad. These stations have been equipped with all the necessary facilities and technology to ensure a smooth and transparent voting process.
The Model Polling Stations have been designed to provide a comfortable and accessible environment for voters. They are spacious, well-lit and have seating arrangements for the elderly and disabled voters. They also have CCTV cameras to ensure transparency and prevent malpractice.
The Election Department hopes that the Model Polling Stations will encourage more people to come out and vote and contribute to strengthening our democracy. With this initiative, the Department is setting new standards for transparent and inclusive elections and positively impacting the electoral process.
