This morning, fires broke out due to cylinder leaks at two locations in Pune: near Madhukar Hospital on Sinhagad Road and close to Thorat Baug bus stop on Jambhulwadi Road. The fire brigade has managed to control the flames. In the Sinhagad Road incident, a woman sustained minor burns and was injured.

Khedekar, a fire official from Katraj Fire Station told Pune Pulse that two incidents took place in the city today morning. One took place in Jambhulwadi where fire broke out in a house on 7 th floor due cylinder leakage in LPG gas. The senior citizen couple came out immediately when they saw fire. They also alerted their neighbours and safely rescued themselves. The impact of the fire was such that the washing machine, furniture and wiring in the house caught fire and was damaged in the incident.  Both the husband and wife are safe and unhurt. 

In another incident that took place on Sinhagad road, a woman suffered burn injuries. Prompt action by the fire personnel averted major mishaps.
