In the realm of innovative teaching, some educators truly stand out by enhancing the learning experience for their students. Sapna Bhatia, a teacher from Delhi, has recently captured the attention of social media with her unique method of teaching measurement concepts. In the video, Bhatia asks a student to come to the front of the class and demonstrates the measurement technique through a hands-on activity. She stretches one arm down toward the floor while raising the other arm to the blackboard, prompting the student to mark the point where her hand reaches. After standing up straight, she shows that her height matches the mark, effectively illustrating the relationship between arm span and height. This interactive lesson has not only impressed her students but has also resonated with millions of viewers online.

The video has generated a lot of excitement, with many viewers praising Bhatia’s creative teaching approach. One commenter described the video as “enlightening,” while another shared, “New learning to me.” Terms like “interesting” and “real activity” frequently appeared in the comments as people expressed their admiration for this interactive learning method. Some viewers felt motivated to try it themselves, with comments such as “Ma’am, I tried it too!” and “Tried and tested! This actually works!” showing up in the feed. One user even remarked, “I was taught this by my grandmother.”

Her work, which is part of the government’s Chahak initiative, garnered significant acclaim and was shared by various notable individuals, including IAS officers.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time a creative teaching video has garnered widespread attention. Back in August, another educator named Khushboo Kumari from Banka, Bihar, gained fame for her unconventional teaching methods. In her classroom at Prothomot Madhyamik Vidyalaya, she made subjects like math come alive through engaging rhymes and even Bollywood tunes, which helped make learning more relatable and enjoyable for her students.
