Users of FASTag have received an important reminder from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI): finish updating your KYC (Know Your Customer) by February 29, 2024, or risk having your account blocked or terminated. To discourage users from using a single FASTag for multiple cars or associating multiple FASTags with a single vehicle, the NHAI launched the “One Vehicle, One FASTag” initiative. The NHAI has requested that individuals update their FASTag prior to the deadline of February 29, 2024.
The importance of timely KYC updates has been emphasized by the NHAI in order to guarantee a seamless and uninterrupted toll payment experience on national highways.
Your bank may deactivate or even blacklist your account if you don’t update your FASTag KYC information by February 29. This will prevent you from using it at toll plazas. This could cause unneeded delays and other problems for you when traveling.
The process of updating your FASTag KYC is easy. This is what you must do:
· Visit https://fastag.ihmcl.com to access the IHMCL customer portal.
· Sign in: For verification, use your registered mobile number, password, and OTP.
· Get into your profile: Choose “My Profile” from the dashboard menu on the left.
· Verify the status of your KYC: The information you provided during registration, along with your KYC status, will be visible on your profile page.
· Refresh your KYC, if necessary: To finish the KYC process, adhere to the website’s instructions.
The NHAI had stated earlier this month that the goal of this is to deter the use of a single FASTag for multiple vehicles or the linking of multiple FASTags to a single vehicle.
According to NHAI, FASTag users are urged to finish the ‘Know Your Customer’ (KYC) process on their most recent FASTag by updating their KYC in accordance with RBI guidelines.
With more than eight crore users and a penetration rate of about 98%, FASTag has completely transformed the nation’s electronic toll collection system.
