Her first challenge was to source quality hair, which she found through a seller in Jaipur, kickstarting her entrepreneurial journey with a minimal investment.

Since its inception, ‘The Shell Hair’ has experienced exponential growth, registering sales of approximately ₹36 lakh in the financial year 2021-22. With an impressive annual revenue of around ₹1.2 crore, the brand has quickly gained traction and is steadily expanding its customer base, earning a reputation as a trusted name in the hair industry.

The turning point in ‘The Shell Hair’s’ journey came when Shaili appeared on Shark Tank India, seeking a valuation of ₹10 crores for her startup and offering 3% equity in exchange for ₹30 lakh. Despite initial concerns about quality, investor Aman Gupta recognized the potential and offered the sought-after investment, sealing the deal with ₹30 lakh for 3% equity.
