India Post to Launch ‘24 Speed Post’ for Next-Day Guaranteed Delivery in Six Major Cities
New Delhi, March 16, 2026: The Department of Posts will launch a new premium service called ‘24 Speed Post’ on March 17, 2026, offering next-day guaranteed delivery for urgent and time-sensitive consignments across major cities.
The service will be officially launched by Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya M. Scindia along with Minister of State for Communications Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani at an event scheduled at Rangbhawan Auditorium in Akashwani Bhawan, New Delhi.
In the first phase, the new facility will be available in six major cities — Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.
The initiative aims to strengthen express delivery services by ensuring faster and more reliable shipment of important documents and parcels. Along with the new offering, 24 Speed Post and 48 Speed Post services will provide assured D+1 and D+2 delivery timelines, supported by dedicated processing windows and priority air transportation.
The upgraded services will also introduce several customer-friendly features, including OTP-based secure delivery, end-to-end tracking with SMS alerts, Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) facility for business customers, free pickup for bulk bookings, API integration, and centralized billing.
Additionally, the service will include a money-back guarantee in case of delivery delays, further enhancing the premium express delivery capabilities of India Post.
