Kothrud suffers from encroachments

Kothrud: The area around Shivaji Maharaj statue in Kothrud has been suffering from encroachments.  Various food, vegetables, fruits and fish vendors have put up stalls on both sides of the road. The Kothrud depot has also been encroached by hawkers. Residents and corporators blame the poor management of Pune Municipal Corporation for the encroachments.  

“Encroachments has been increasing day-by-day in Kothrud. We request PMC to take legal action on these encroachments,” said Shivaji Kothare, a resident of Kothrud.

Umesh Narule, senior encroachment inspector said that action is being taken on encroachers in the Kothrud area.
