Lockdown in Maharashtra extended till June 1, 2021

The Maharashtra government on May 13, 2021 announced that the lockdown shall be extended from May 15, 2021 till 7 AM on June 1 , 2021. 

Below are the New Guidelines issued : 

  1. Carrying RT PCR Negative test report is a must for those coming to Maharashtra from other states. 
  2. In case of Cargo carriers, not more than two people (Driver + Cleaner / Helper) may be allowed to travel in the same. If these cargo carriers are originating from outside the state, these may be allowed to enter into the state with a Negative RT PCR test report which will have to be issued from upto a maximum of 48 hours before the time of entry into Maharashtra which will be valid for seven days. 
  3. Local DMA should keep special vigil; over rural markets and APMC’s and ensure Covid Appropriate Behaviour and in case of violation, DMA’s may take further action. 
  4. Milk collection, transport and processing may be allowed without restrictions through its retail sale shall be allowed subject to restriction imposed on shops dealing with essential items or through home delivery. [ad id=’7716′]
  5. Personnel engaged in Airport and port services and needed for movement of cargo related to medicines or equipment needed for Covid management will be allowed to travel in local, mono and metro services. 
  6. Local DMA may decide to impose further restrictions generally or to specific sectors or specific areas with intimation to SDMA and shall give at least 48 hours of public notice before making such further restrictions applicable.
