A devastating fire broke out in the Mahakumbh Mela area, reducing over 200 tents to ashes. Firefighters swiftly responded, bringing the blaze under control. Senior officials, including mela authorities, rushed to the spot. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also visited the site to assess the situation.

The fire reportedly started between Shastri Bridge and the Railway Bridge at the Geeta Press camp. Authorities have sealed off the affected area. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.
Mahakumbh 2025: Massive Turnout and PM Modi’s Expected Visit
So far, over 7 crore devotees have participated in Mahakumbh 2025. According to sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi may visit Prayagraj on February 8 or 9 and take a holy dip at the Sangam. CM Yogi has extended an official invitation to him.
