The award was accepted by Prasad Reshme, representing Mahavitaran, from Ajay Sharma, the General Secretary of the Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles (SMEV).

Prasad Reshme, who graciously received the honor, attributed Mahavitaran’s success in EV charging to the visionary guidance of Vijay Singhal and the unwavering support of Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Mahavitaran has been entrusted with the responsibility of establishing EV charging infrastructure as the nodal agency of the state. Through their dedicated initiatives, a total of 3,214 charging stations have been successfully set up across the state under the stewardship of Mahavitaran.

Moreover, Mahavitaran has established 62 of its own electric vehicle charging stations in strategic locations throughout the state. These are located in Nashik, Chhattrapati Sambhajinagar, Solapur, Kolhapur, Amravati, Sangli, Pune (23 stations), Thane (11 stations), Navi Mumbai (12 stations), and Nagpur (6 stations). Since September of last year, the number of vehicles utilizing these stations for charging has been steadily increasing.

To further enhance accessibility and convenience, Mahavitaran has launched a dedicated website for individuals interested in setting up their own EV charging stations. Additionally, motorists can utilize the user-friendly Powerup EV application developed by Mahavitaran to locate the nearest charging station and conveniently charge their vehicles.

Mahavitaran’s unwavering commitment to developing an extensive EV charging infrastructure network has earned them well-deserved recognition. Their outstanding efforts serve as a testament to the organization’s dedication to promoting sustainable transportation and fostering the growth of electric vehicles in the state.
