For 114 residents of Sai Royale society in Wanowrie, it is a matter of pride that the society practices environment-friendly initiatives since it’s inception in 2016.
The society practices wet waste composting and recycles the water in its Sewage Treatment Plant which is further utilized in the washrooms for flushing.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, chairman, Jigar Shah said, “On the long journey to Zero garbage target, such initiatives are indeed contributing to save the environment. Maintaining both, the Organic Waste Converter machine and STP is a challenging task but we stand committed to run these to their capacity and protect the environment.”
The OWC machine has a capacity of 45Kg of wet waste per day. while the STP has a capacity of 75 Cubic meters per day.
