Massive Action Against Illegal Constructions in PCMC; Over 25,000 Sq Ft Structures Demolished
Pimpri, April 12, 2026: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has intensified its crackdown on unauthorized constructions under the ‘E’ ward jurisdiction, carrying out a series of demolition drives across multiple locations. The action mainly targeted structures falling within red zones and flood-affected areas.
On April 1, 2026, civic teams took action in Ward No. 3 (Bhosari – Chakrapani Vasahat) and Ward No. 4 (Dighi), where four illegal RCC constructions located in the red zone were demolished. The total area of these structures was approximately 4,500 square feet.
Subsequently, on April 10, 2026, a major demolition drive was conducted in Moshi. Authorities removed a total of 11 unauthorized structures, including sheet sheds and RCC constructions, situated within the blue flood line of the Indrayani River, near Moshi toll naka, and along a drainage line in South Laxminagar. The total area cleared during this कार्रवाई was around 14,651 square feet.
Continuing the drive, on April 11, 2026, five more illegal constructions were demolished in Ward No. 3 (Bhosari – Chakrapani Vasahat) and Ward No. 4 (Dighi), covering an area of about 6,150 square feet.
The demolition operations were carried out under the guidance of Regional Officer Tanaji Narale and Executive Engineer Suryakant Mohite. The action was jointly executed by the Building Permission and Unauthorized Construction Control Department along with the ‘E’ ward enforcement squad.
The operation was successfully completed under the supervision of Deputy Engineer Vinayak Mane and Junior Engineers Sandeep Vaidya and Kshitija Deshmukh. Key officials present during the drive included Office Superintendent Sanjay Ghule, Encroachment Inspector Pravin Lande, Beat Inspectors Sachin Patil, Adinath Nagare, Dattatray Chhadidar, Shivani Bhagat, Bhagyashree Wanjare, along with MSF personnel, police officers, and other staff members.
