The long-standing issue of the Pimpri-Chinchwad courthouse has been resolved, thanks to the efforts of MLA Mahesh Landge of Bhosari. A sprawling justice complex is under construction in Moshi, alongside the country’s first Constitution Bhavan in Chikhali. Legal experts from the Bhosari Assembly constituency have publicly announced their support for BJP candidate Mahesh Landge. With law practitioners backing him, Landge’s position is further strengthened.

As part of the Indian Constitution’s Amrit Mahotsav, the Vidhi and Nyay Foundation and Pimpri-Chinchwad Advocates Bar Association organized a lecture series and gathering for lawyers in Bhosari. Over 400 lawyers attended the event.

During the event, Advocate Ganesh Shirsat delivered a lecture on the landmark “Kesavananda Bharati: The Untold Story” case, winning the audience’s admiration. Advocate Mangesh Kharabe shared insights into the foundation’s ongoing initiatives and the Indian Constitution’s Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. Additionally, a video presentation showcased the upcoming justice complex in Pimpri-Chinchwad and the Samvidhan Bhavan project in Moshi, both driven by MLA Mahesh Landge’s efforts. Numerous law students from various colleges were also in attendance.

Pimpri-Chinchwad’s population has crossed 3 million, with a separate police commissionerate established in 2018, integrating rural police stations. Despite the growing population and case volume, the existing Morwadi courthouse was insufficient. Work is now ongoing at a temporary Nehru Nagar site. However, demands for a separate courthouse building and a district and sessions court in the city persisted for years. MLA Mahesh Landge pursued these demands with the state’s law department, securing dedicated land for the courthouse. The justice complex is now being developed over 16 acres in Moshi-Borhade Wadi, Authority Sector 14.

The construction of a grand justice complex and India’s unique Constitution Bhavan in Moshi has been realized through MLA Mahesh Landge’s persistent efforts. Advocate Vishal Dongre, on behalf of the gathered lawyers, announced their unanimous support for Landge, crediting him for addressing long-standing issues faced by lawyers.

Notable attendees included Pimpri-Chinchwad Advocates Bar Association President Advocate Ramraje Bhosale, and advocates Dhananjay Konkane, S.B. Chandak, Gorakhnath Jhol, Dinkar Barne, Sanjay Datir-Patil, Goraksha Lokhande, Ashokpal Sharma, Dhananjay Vatharkar, Mangesh Lohare, Atish Landge, Rajesh Dongre, Yogesh Sonawane, Nitin More, Rohit Chinchawade, Hemant Ramane, Datta Jhukuk, Sangita Parab, Reena Mangadum, Rupali Waghere, Chitra Phuge, Navnath Jagtap, Sujata Bidkar, Sushma Vasane, Poonam Swami, Monica Sachwani, Sushma Namdas, and Ajay Yadav.

“We secured 16 acres in Moshi-Borhade Wadi’s Sector 14 for the justice complex, which is now under construction. The nine-story building will provide courtrooms and accommodation for judges, enabling city residents to access justice locally without traveling to Pune. Work on the Samvidhan Bhavan has also commenced. I remain committed to addressing lawyers’ issues.”– Mahesh Landge, MLA, Bhosari Assembly, Maha Yuti Candidate
