Mumbai Goa Highway : Part of road collapses in Mahad
A video being widely circulated on social media platforms today shows that a portion of the road on Mumbai Goa Highway in Mahad has collapsed. The netizens said that the video shows the part of the road collapsing from Mumbai Goa National Highway near Visava hotel. The government authorities must take corrective action, said a netizen. Fortunately when the part of the road collapsed there was no vehicle driving on the road.
The road is built over Visava hotel in Mahad. The incident took place at 8 AM in the morning which was captured by a passerby. The road is part of a service road on the Mumbai Goa National Highway 66. As per the information from the public works department, the retaining wall collapsed due to high pressure of water.
