A senior citizen, frustrated by the prolonged delay in resolving his pending work with the state government, attempted to commit suicide by jumping from the parapet of the fifth floor of Mantralaya.

Despite efforts by on-duty police officers to dissuade him from taking such an extreme step, the man was determined and refused to listen. The Fire Brigade was called to the scene and quickly acted to rescue him. They successfully reached the fifth floor and managed to bring him down safely using a tower crane.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner of Police Praveen Mundhe from Zone 1 made extensive efforts to convince the senior citizen to reconsider his actions. An official stated that the police team engaged with the man to understand his grievances and promised to escalate the matter to the appropriate departments.
