In light of Republic Day celebrations, Delhi International Airport Limited announced in an official statement that no aircraft would be permitted to take off or land at the airport between 10:20 am and 12:45 pm on January 19 through January 26. The official indicated that from 10 am to 1:15 pm on January 19–25, landings and takeoffs of non-scheduled aircraft as well as chartered flights will not be allowed.

Dress rehearsals in the nation’s capital, in anticipation of Republic Day festivities, have already begun. Additionally, a traffic advisory for traffic in central Delhi was released by the Delhi Police.

According to the police, on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 10.15 am to 12.30 pm, there will be restricted traffic movement at the Kartavya Path-Rafi Marg Crossing, Kartavya Path-Janpath Crossing, Kartavya Path-Mansingh Road Crossing, and Kartavya Path-C Hexagon.

The Kartavya Path section between India Gate and Vijay Chowk will also continue to be blocked to all traffic, according to the police. For hassle-free travel, drivers are asked to take note of police personnel’s real-time traffic updates.

The Republic Day celebration showcases the country’s military prowess by showcasing missiles, tanks, and other apparatus. Apart from the military exhibition, several states and union territories will take part in the festivities by showcasing vibrant tableaux that represent their customs, history, and other related themes.
