No Lockdown Ahead, Fuel Supply Stable: FM Nirmala Sitharaman
New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has assured the public that there will be no lockdown, dismissing concerns being raised in certain quarters.
“I want to reassure people that there will be no lockdown,” she said. Expressing concern over statements made by some leaders, Sitharaman added, “I am surprised that a few are claiming there will be a lockdown and fuel shortages. These claims are baseless and misleading.”
She emphasized that the kind of restrictions seen during the COVID-19 pandemic will not be repeated. “There will be no lockdown like the one we witnessed during COVID,” she reiterated, urging people not to pay attention to unfounded rumours.
