Now, Raise Your Complaints Online On PCMC’s Smart Sarathi App 

Pune : The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has begun an online complaint facility on its PCMC Sarathi App to resolve issues related to garbage & waste.

As per further information from the X handle of the PCMC “A facility has been made available in the Smart Sarathi App to inform the Municipal Corporation of the problems faced by residents of Pimpri Chinchwad in their daily life.”

It further adds that in the city of Pimpri Chinchwad, an online facility on the PCMC Sarathi App has been made available about collecting garbage such as branches of trees, clearing overgrown grass, green waste, construction debris, waste of hotels & canteens, leftover junk food from several occasions, electronic waste & more. Also, citizens can file complaints about garbage/waste on the app.

The PCMC has started several options of scientific waste collection & it’s transportation such as creating waste transfer centers as

each waste transfer centre will have the capacity of holding and managing waste/garbage up to 200 tonnes. Garbage collected from households is deposited in containers at 30 different centres of the Health Department. The waste in the container is filled in the compactor and taken to the waste depot. However, garbage handling is done by the staff themselves. Also, the area becomes unhygienic and dirty everywhere. The workers come in direct contact with the waste, causing health problems. Residents of the area where the centre is located suffer because of the bad smell. To curb this type of situation, the central government has made it mandatory to set up waste transfer centres.

However, citizens can register their complaints & grievances about garbage/waste, inform the PCMC about collecting waste from places and more on the PCMC Sarathi App.
