The individual stops near the child, engaging them in conversation while holding their hand. Seeing no one around, the person discreetly steals the child’s gold earring and pockets it. Shortly after, the child’s mother comes outside and brings the child back into the house.
Once inside, the mother notices the earring is missing and quickly takes the child outside again, but by that time, the thief has already fled, leaving the cylinder behind. The mother then hurries upstairs to seek help. This entire incident, which took place just outside their home, was captured by a CCTV camera.
