Park Royale society takes green initiative towards environment conservation
Recently Park Royale society from Pimple Saudagar – Rahatani was felicitated with 5-star ranking for implementing green initiatives.

Park Royale Co-operative Housing Society was established in the year July 2011. It has won several prizes in the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Landscaping Competition under various categories.
Society strives on the motto of getting clean air, and water, sustainable energy, water conservation, waste management and a cleaner greener society for everyone.
Installed Water Aerators
The water tap aerators has reduced 60 percent wastage .
Sewage Treatment Plant
The society completely changed the STP solution & gained lot of operational efficiency and saved on finances. Water is used in watering plants in the garden and washroom flush.
Solar Energy Plant
The society has potential requirement of 120Kw solar power generation to accommodate all common amenities areas. Phase 1 of society have 50 Kw grid connected solar energy plant in the swimming pool area. This solar generated power is effectively consumed by water pumps and STP operations. Society has saved approximately Rs 55000/- per month on the billing amount.

Energy Conservation
100% LED lights in common areas of society 50 KW solar plant installation is done. Another 70 KW solar rooftop project is in progress.
Wet Waste Management
The society has 433 units with 90% + occupancy & each unit is generating approximately 600-700 gram of wet waste every day or 270kg to 300kg on overall basis. Considering the volume, society has installed Organic compositing setup near entrance gate which includes lot of civil work, tin shades, fabrication & composting bins. Society has given 6 months to stabilize the operation & now they are producing approx. 800kg organic manure every month. Society residents uses this manure in their personal gardens and society garden. Recently, society sold 2000 kg manure to an external agency with nominal charges. Sold more than 10000 kg compost in Mahabaleshwar, Talegaon and Khed areas
Dry Waste Management
The society has a separate area to segregate recyclable waste such as plastic, paper, metal, glass and e-waste. As per PCMC norms, bins with specific colour codes procured and arranged for each building. Dry waste disposal process is established and based on the volume Green Soldiers Recycling Services agency picks up the dry waste. Society is planning to regularize this disposal process with periodicity of forth nightly or monthly basis which will incentivise housekeeping team as motivational factor. Green Soldiers agency has picked up recyclable dry waste respectively paper – 529 kgs, plastic – 186 kgs, Metal – 217 kgs and e-waste – 450 kgs, received payment was distributed in housekeeping team as incentive.
Rain water harvesting
All the water from respective building terrace and podium goes in designated bore well setup which helps them to manage the water needs.
Park Royale Library
The library is run by societies senior citizens. The society library has more than 3000 books. Most of the books are donated by society residents.
Electric Vehicle Charging stations
Process of installing 4 EV chargers for 4 wheelers and two wheelers each from Tata Power is underway. This will make Park Royale, first among Pimple Saudagar and Rahatani area to have Electric charging facility for two and four wheelers.
