PCMC takes strict action against illegal constructions in E ward

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has seen to be adapting to the zero tolerance policy against illegal constructions in the city, as it has started to hammer the illegal constructions from ‘E’ ward, Vadmukhwadi on 08/02/21. The civic body has conducted a drive against 40 illegal developments in the area. According to additional details obtained by PCMC official, Vijay Bhojane, there are estimate 60,,000 illegal constructions in entire PCMC, against which a strict drive is expected in the coming days.

The drive is being carried out under additional commissioner, Ajit Pawar, PCMC Officials, Makarand Nikam, Rajendra Rane, Hemant Desai, Suryakant Mohit, Sudhir More, along with Police protection deployed by DCP Sudhir Hiremath. 3 Poklain, 5 JCB and 25 workers were deployed to break loose a hammer on the illegal constructions.

According to the a conversation with BRTS Officer, Vijay Bhojane, who is owning the responsibility informing the press about the activity opined, “We have understood that there are close to 60,000 illegal constructions in the city. We have tried giving notice to them, but they did not take an action against it. So, the civic body decided to take “uncompromised” action against it.”
