Pune: Pune Municipal Corporation has started taking measures to keep the water of Mutha river clean. Iron rods have been installed on the riverbed behind the Vaikunth crematorium where the Ambil Odha flows into the river.
To avoid the waste items from flowing in the water, iron rods have been installed.
Speaking about the same, Mangesh Dighe, Environment Officer of PMC said, “The water supply and water channel department of Municipal Corporation has made this arrangement so the clean water will enter the river. The iron rods installed will work as a screen and trap the solid waste.”
