Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) allows only 40 by 20 feet hoardings to avoid erecting huge hoardings. However, now a technical loophole is being sought for large size hoardings. There is an increasing number of ways to put up two hoardings together.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Kunal Khemnar, Additional Municipal Commissioner (Estate), PMC, said “Action will be taken soon to stop illegal hoardings by taking information about the structure and license of the hoardings.”

As per information, the PMC had promised that all unauthorized hoardings would be removed within a month. But, huge hoardings are being put up in the city by finding a technical loophole by hoarding owners.

According to the rules, a distance of at least three meters between two boards is mandatory. But, it can be seen that no gap is kept for various hoardings across the city. Hoardings up to 40 feet by 20 feet size are allowed within the municipal limits. However, this size limit has been violated by many hoarding owners.
