PMRDA demolishes 256 illegal construction at Maval

Action has been initiated against unauthorized constructions in Kusgaon Khurd, Maval Taluka by the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA).

As many as 256 unauthorized constructions have been demolished by PMRDA on Wednesday which includes 1300 square feet of commercial space.

PMRDA acted on the complaints received from the residents regarding construction near the river. Some of the constructions have been carried out inspite of the builder being given ‘stop construction notice’.

The demolition took place the entire day inspite of protest by the builders and people concerned.

An appeal was also placed by the PMRDA official not to carry out any unauthorized construction.

The demolition took place under the leadership of Monica Singh, Deputy Collector and Controller of such illegal Unauthorized Construction Department of Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority.

It was informed that the cost of demolition and eviction will be recovered from the builders concerned.
